Sony going up competation with the Lionsgate on the bid for the movie Terminator franchise. The studio puts last minute bid for this franchise.

Lionsgate are the first bidder for the rights to the Terminator franchise wit a floor bid of $15 million and a 5% cut of future gross recepits.

The sony is keeping secretly but when bidding comes closely it conformed that Sony put in a bid thrusday.

In the September Halcyon Group made this franchise available for bidding. This aiction encompass all the Terminator assets,TV series,DVD’s and future Terminator films.

The auction of Terminator will be going on monday at the officse of FTI Consulting in Los Angeles.

If Lionsgate doesn’t get the franchise, it will take in $750,000 as a breakup fee from whoever wins.
