A documentary movie “The Cove”, which was based on the dolphin hunting at a Japanese town, has won the best documentary film at Oscars on Sunday.
‘The Cove’ movie was produced by Fisher Stevens and Louie Psihoyos, who worked as a director for this movie. He is a national geographic photographer. Actor, Fisher Stevens starts his new career as a producer from this movie. ‘The Cove’ earned controversies rather money.
This film was pictured using hidden cameras and microphones. The local fishermen will catch the dolphins in the whaling town of Taiji, Japan. The cove has failed to get even $1 million in domestic and less then that in Japan also.
This documentary provoked criticism against the hunt after releasing in selected countries including Japan, Australia and in United States. But, the local fishermen in Japan defended it like as part of a Japanese tradition.
In acceptance of speech producer, Fisher Stevens said that “It was the honor for the work behind that movie and try to make an entertaining film that understood for everybody.”
