High TV ratings for 2010 Oscars

82nd Oscar Awards have been announced on Sunday night. We know that The Hurt Locker broke the Avatar and won six Oscar awards. Other interesting news from Oscars is, an estimated 41.3 million people have watched the 2010 Oscar awards on television nets.

This award ceremony became the most-watched Academy Awards telecast since 2005. It was 14 percent over last year. ‘The Hurt Locker’ has won the best picture award for this year. 36.3 million people watched Oscars in 2009 when ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ won the best picture.

2008 Oscars had the smallest audience ceremony with only 32 million visitors. In 2005 41 million people watched when ‘Million Dollar Baby’ won the best picture award. The Golden Globes also came up with 14 percent people when compared to last year.
