‘Sherlock Holmes’ sequel competes ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D’

As already announced ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D’ will be released on December 16, 2011. The sequel for the ‘Sherlock Holmes is also coming on the same date according to the Warner Bros, distributor of the movie. ‘Sherlock Holmes’ movie was one of the big hit at the box office for the last year, which was released in the month December.

Though ‘Avatar’ was released in the same month, but Sherlock Holmes is a hit movie. This movie will be released just few days prior to Christmas festival whereas the original movie was released on 25th December. Guy Ritchie will be the director of this movie also.

Again Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law will be acting together for this movie to represent their roles in this new movie. Robert Downey Jr. had a role in ‘Iron Man’, which earned a huge amount at box office. Jude Law was featured in ‘Repo Man’ recently which was too hit.

The origin movie ‘Sherlock Holmes’ is completely based on the investigation about the black magic’s and the murder. In this movie, Robert Downey Jr. played as a detective and won the Golden Globe award for his character.

Apart from this sequel from ‘Sherlock Holmes’, there are other movies getting ready to be released by 2011 which include ‘Hang Over 2’ and ‘Green Lantern’ in 3D. Warner Bros will be the distributor of these movies too.
