Friday Box Office: It's 'Sex and the City 2' with $13 million

New movie ‘Sex and the City 2′ rules the Friday box office and dominated with $13 million in one day and became the top box office for Friday as expected. But, it could not beat out the origin movie ‘Sex and the city’, which earned $26.8 million on Friday.

It was released on Thursday and earned $14.2 million and on Friday with earnings of $13 million. It comes $27.2 million total and it’s on the way to hit week end box office too. This new movie is predicted to earn $60 million in first week.

Disney much expected from their new movie ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’, but it could not reach the expectations despite of earning $10.2 million and remains at the third place.

Dream Works Animation movie and the last movie from out favorite ‘Shrek’, ‘Shrek Forever After’ is doing great at the box office in second week also. It became the second box office movie on Friday with $11.3 million. It was also the top box office movie for last week.

Paramount ‘Iron Man 2′ spent four weeks at the box office, but, the fans are still running to the theaters for this movie and it earned $4 million on Friday and became the fourth best movie at Friday box office.

The current total earning for this movie is $260 million. Russell Crow movie and Universal’s release movie ‘Robin Hood’ also adjusted to fifth place at Friday box office with $2.9 million and it adds to a total of $75 million.
