'Shrek Forever After' top at the Friday box office

Yesterday, new movie ‘Get Him to the Greek‘ was released, but failed to be top at the Friday box office. ‘Shrek Forever After‘ the final installment from our Shrek remain the top at the Friday box office. It was excepted by all and seems to hit the weekend box office for the third time.

‘Shrek Forever After ‘ was released on May 21 and it already spent two weeks at the box office. But, the fans of Shrek still running to the theaters to watch this movie. On last Friday, it grossed nearly $7 million and beats the ‘Get Him to the Greek’ at the box office. ‘Get Him to the Greek’, was just earned $6 million and stayed at the second place for this Friday box office.

‘Shrek’ is the top box office movie from the last two weeks and with this Friday box office earnings it makes his ways to win this third weekend also. In the opening week, ‘Shrek’ tops the chart with nearly $70 million and for the second week it earned $57 million.

For this week, Friday box office ‘Killers’ is in the third place with $5.7million, which is just below the ‘Get Him to the Greek’. Last week top 2 box office movie ‘Prince of Persia’ satisfied with fourth place for this Friday box office with $4.4 million.

Much expected movie ‘Sex and the City 2′ opened the first day with $13.6 million, but really nothing from there and is in the fifth place for Friday box office with $4.2 million.
