New Movie and our favorite movie ‘Toy Story 3’ hits the Friday box office as expected and it was also a big number at the Friday box office. ‘Toy Story 3′ was released on Friday and opened up with nearly $41 million for the Friday box office and ready to crack more earnings as expected.
It’s expected to be $100 million movie for this weekend, but, $41 million in opening day it looking to be nearly $125-$135 million movie for this week. This new movie is released in 4,025 screens, which includes nearly 2,000 plus 3D screens and 185 IMAX screens.
This $41 million is the big number for Friday box office and it even crosses the collections of ‘Shrek the Third’ collections of $38 million. Now, Toy Story 3′ became the biggest opening day for animated movie of all-time with this $41 million earnings on first day.
Now, ‘Toy Story 3′ eyes some more records which are to cross the ‘Shrek the Third’ of $121.7, which is the biggest opening in first week for animated movies. For another record it just needs $70 million to beat ‘The Incredibles’, which is the big movie for a Pixar film.
Another new movie that was released on Friday, ‘Jonah Hex’. It could not impress the fans and opened up with just $1.96 million from 2,825 theaters and stayed at fifth place.
‘The Karate Kid ‘ is last week top movie, but this time it is on the second place with $8.9 million and the action movie ‘The A-Team’ is in third place $4.2 million for second week. Comedy movie ‘Get Him to the Greek’ earned $2 million in fourth place.
