‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ $30 Million Breaks Midnight Box Office

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ was released on yesterday and ‘Eclipse’ made its mark at the box office already. This third movie from the ‘Twilight’ opens up with $30 million on midnight of Wednesday and became the best opening movie from the ‘Twilight’ franchise. This movie was released in 4,400 theaters.

‘Eclipse’ breaks the record of ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’, which earned $26.3 million on its opening show. With the openings on first day, we can expect that how ‘Twilight’ franchise influenced the movie lovers and people are eager about this third movie.

‘Eclipse’ already became a big hit at the box office and it is looking to hit the Friday box office and weekend box office as well. It is also looking to break the box office records of ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’. The earnings from the mid-night show were $30 million. $1 million came from IMAX screens.

First movie from this franchise, ‘Twilight’ earned $193 million and the second movie, ‘New Moon’ crosses nearly $300 million.
