Sean Penn in Negotiations for ‘Genius’

Two-time Academy Award winning actor, Sean Penn is in negotiations to play the lead role in the upcoming new movie ‘Genius’. ‘Genius’ is based on A. Scott Berg’s National Book Award-winning 2008 ‘Max Perkins: Editor of Genius’.

Sean Penn will play the lead role as Max Perkins in this movie. Bill Pohald, the producer of the River Road Entertainment will direct this movie.

Earlier, Pohald and Penn worked for ‘Into the Wild’ movie. Pohald produced this movie and Penn directed the movie, which was released in 2007.

John Logan, will rewrite the script of this movie. ‘Max Perkins: Editor of Genius’, is a biography and it tells the story of writer Max Perkins, the fedora-wearing eccentric editor-in-chief in New York.

According to the reports, ‘Genius’ will focus on the relationship between the Max Perkins and Thomas Wolfe.
