Aretha Franklin Pancreatic Cancer: Aretha Franklin has been struggling with pancreatic cancer and undergone surgery last week. Aretha Franklin is a famous American singer, song writer and pianist.
One of the doctors familiar with the disease has said that it was the most dreaded cancer to get and has worst prognosis of any major human malignancy. He continued that the surgery went well and she is now at a good condition.
After Aretha Franklin’s Pancreatic Cancer surgery, she thanked doctors and said that “superb doctors and nurses who are blessed by all the prayers of the city and country”. The Rev. Jesse Jackson said on Wednesday he visited Aretha Franklin and she was recovering very well from surgery. He added that Franklin takes a daily walks up and down in the large hall of her hospital and “her spirits are high and her faith is strong”. “The Queen of Soul” has cancelled all her concerts and appearances till May 2011.
Meanwhile, the legendry singer had continued a busy schedule of touring till last October. She performed a song at the inauguration of US President Barack Obama’s swearing ceremony in 2009.
