‘Gulliver’s Travels’ Movie Review: ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ is a beloved classic tale of Jonathan Swift and directed by Rob Letterman. Nicholas Stoller and Joe Stillman are the screen writers of the movie and opening this Saturday, December 25. The movie is produced by Nicholas Stoller associated with DreamWorks Animation.

Jack Black plays the character of Gulliver a mailroom clerk. He takes the assignment to travel through Bermuda Triangle to impress travel editor (Amanda Peet). But, he finds himself as a giant in the land of Lilliput, a place of very tiny people apart from the real world. They believe that, Gulliver consists of making him bigger than the actual physic. But, the general of the kingdom Edward (Chris O’Dowd) does not believe and always try to find the ways to let the giant down as he assumes that, he is seeing the daughter of the king princess Mary (Emily Blunt). Mary is interested in Horatio (Jason Segel). Probably, you can guess the plot.

There was a time when Black Jack’s act use to be new and funny. Anyone, thinking about the classic of Jonathan Swift would recall it as a big screen adventure. Jack might be better to rest the wishful thoughts.

According to the source, the movie lacks the fun. It barely makes you laugh and there are words in the movie which are not good for kids and that may tend them to imitate. The production team tried to include humor which might attract the teen fans of Jack Black.

The movie is not completely bad. However, few ideas and the special effects are fairly done.
