‘Blue Valentine’ Movie Review: ‘Blue Valentine’ is a drama and romantic flick directed by Derek Cianfrance. It is set for its release on coming Wednesday, December 29.
The movie is all about finding and losing love in the past and present times with the overflow of romantic memories in the brief period. Anyone in the marital life could say how hard it is to get in to marriage on a lighter note. Hollywood does not like this kind of reality providing the pleasure to view.
Dean (Ryan Gosling) and Cindy (Michelle) a young married couple get in to the early relationship on the belief of romance and try to reach the goal of ‘happily ever after’ by all means and down the five years of their marriage they come to know that, it is not that easy.
The direct approach of Derek Cianfrance is severe to get through. It’s not because of love making scenes in the second part. Initially, it does not look orienting and it becomes effective as the movie progresses measuring the early days of Dean and Cindy.
The transformation of physic by Ryan Gosling from a young true love idealist to a shapeless drunk with a bad attitude in sunglasses is awesome. The character of Cindy is not so easy and holds the plot as her dreams are put away as she confronts the reality of young wife and mother.
The movie is full of emotions and if you like the drama then it is worth watching. “Blue Valentine” does not portrait all about the marriage.
