Green Hornet Box Office: The Green Hornet tops the weekend box office since its release on January 14. The Green Hornet topped the weekend overtaking The Dilemma and True Grit.
The Green Hornet has topped the weekend box office by grossing $34 million for the first three days till now and is expected to collect $40.5 million by the end of the weekend. The gross is on the lower side for a budget movie of over $100 million, though it’s not a bad result. It would be interesting to see whether it will hold in the coming weeks.
’The Dilemma’ directed by Ron Howard started at No.2 with dull gross of $20.5. The comedy film with Vince Vaughn and Kevin James has a very soft opening for a budget of $70 million. To generate profits it should also hold up in upcoming weeks.
’True Grit’ stood at third managing a decent earnings of $11.2 million with the total gross of $127 million which is the best for the films of Coen brothers. ‘The King’s Speech’ with $9 million from Friday to Sunday is in fourth place with an impressive total gross of $46.3 million.
