British Actor, Henry Cavill will be casting in new Superman movie. Henry Cavill will play the role of new Superman in the upcoming movie which is set to be release in December 2012.
A Jersey born actor, Henry Cavill has appeared in most of the movies during the previous decade that include Whatever Works and Stardust. Most of the television fans knew him better for his role in Tudors as the Charles Brandon. The 27-year-old Henry was delighted at being the cast in the Superman series and playing the lead role.
The director of the Watchmen, Zack Snyder has released a statement on Sunday stating that in the pantheon of Superheroes, the most recognized and admired character of all time is Superman. He added that he is honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. Zack Snyder also stated that he joins Warner Bros. and the producers saying that how excited they were about the casting of Henry and he is the perfect choice to get into the mantle and S shield.
Henry Cavill is the third in the mark from the British, who is taken to play the leading role of an American comic book hero in the movie. Besides him, Andrew Garfield’s recent casting as the new Spider-man and Welshman Christian Bale played the role of Batman in 2005. Currently, Cavill was replaced by Brandon Routh for the role of Clark Kent after the project from the director McG was taken over by Bryan Singer.
Cavill is the leading man for the role of the Superhero after Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh, who played before him in the late 80’s and in 2006 movie Superman Returns respectively. Henry Cavill will make his appearance along with Freida Pinto, Mickey Rourke and Kellan Lutz for the movie named ‘Immortals’ which is expected to be release in this November.
