Gnomeo and Juliet has topped the race at Oscar weekend Box Office. Gnomeo and Juliet over took Drive Angry and Hall Pass.
’Gnomeo and Juliet’ has surprised, as it topped the weekend box office for the first time in its three weeks of screening. It surpassed the new releases such as Drive Angry and Hall Pass. Gnomeo and Juliet, the kids-flick by Disney is benefiting and got a stunning success. It has grossed $75 million till now, dropping by just 26% and is looking to hit $100 million. It earned $14.2 million at Oscar weekend box office.
The new entry this weekend ‘Hall Pass’ by Farrelly brothers made second by grossing $13.4 million. Hall pass is the first film for Farrelly brothers after four long years. ‘Unknown’ the winner of the last weekend dropped to third place with a gross of $12.4 million. ‘Drive Angry’ starring Nicholas Cage and Amber Head disappointed, as it entered at 9th place grossing just $5.1 million.
