‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules’ succeeded more than expected and topped Sucker Punch at Weekend Box Office.
The movie ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid : Rodrick Rules’ captured first place at weekend box office overtaking ‘Sucker Punch’ of Zack Snyder. It earned $24.4 million at 3,167 locations in its 3-day-screening. The first part of ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ earned $22.1 million at weekend box office, which was released last year.
The budget of the first part was less than $20 million and grossed $75 million through out the world and the same is expected from ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules’.
Zack Snyder’s ‘Sucker Punch’ managed second place earning $19 million. Vanessa Hudgens, Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish are the leading characters of the movie. The main characters of the movie are females.
Bradley Cooper starer ‘Limitless’ made third with $15 million. Matthew McConaughey with $11 million managed fourth place with his thriller movie ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ and Johnny Depp’s ‘Rango’ in the fifth place with $9.8 million.
