Water for Elephants starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart hits the theaters. The movie is based on the novel by Sara Gruel.
The movie ‘Water for Elephants’ with Robert Pattinson, the heart-throb of Hollywood and the box office champion Reese Witherspoon, plays the lead role along with Christopher Waltz. The story is a romantic drama.
The story of the movie starts with an old man Jacob (Robert Pattinson) telling his story to an employee of the circus. The movie proceeds with the story in flashback. A young veterinary joins in a circus after the death of his parents in a car accident. In the beginning, he feels his dream come true, until he realizes working for a ruthless employer Justin, played by Christopher Waltz. Jacob falls in love with the wife of August. Will he win the heart of his lady love and get his dreams come true.
The performance by Robert and Reese was awesome. The cinematography and the lightning of the movie are great and the designs of set and costumes are outstanding. There are many scenes, where it makes you feel the art work. The ending of the movie is the highlight of the movie, as the final moments of the elephant Rosie makes the film worth seeing.
The script of the movie did not allow the characters to represent their complete side of their roles, as the scope of doing better was cut. The abuse of animals in the movie is no way related to the script of the movie, which was unnecessary and also it made the film lengthy as it go on for 122 minutes. The work of Francis Lawrence, the director of the movie was good, but left unappealing at times in the movie. The love story of Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon would have played much important role, if the story of the animals would have been focused in the movie.
