Anna Faris, reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming movie of Sacha Baron Cohen’s ‘The Dictator’ directed by Larry Charles.
Anna Faris has been reportedly offered the role to play in ‘The Dictator’ and is in talks to negotiate the project. She will play the role of an owner of an organic food store. She beat Kristen Wigg and Gillian Jacobs, who were vying for the character in the movie of Sacha Baron Cohen.
The movie ‘The Dictator’ has been inspired by the book ‘Zabibah and the King’, which was reportedly to be written by Saddam Hussein. Cohen will play the dual roles in the movie, as herder and the dictator. Larry Charles will direct the movie.
The ‘Borat’ star, Baron Cohen will play the character of ruthless dictator, heading towards United States, in order to attend the United Nations meeting. He realizes that, his look alike has replaced him, who is a sheepherder. He finds the owner of an organic food store played by Faris and falls in love with her. Anna Faris has recently wrapped her project ‘What’s Your Number’ of New Regency.
’The Scary’ movie actress joins the star cast of ‘The Dictator’ along with Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas. Ben Kingsley and Sacha Baron Cohen have worked together for ‘Hugo Cabret’, a periodic movie directed by Martin Scorsese.
The filming of the movie is scheduled next month and will be released on May 11, 2012.
