Will Smith was forced to move his huge ‘Men in Black 3’ trailer and the separate gym trailer to a private lot on Wednesday. The incident happened after the residents and business owners in the city’s SoHo shopping district filed a complaint that they were filling the streets with exhaust fumes and getting in the way.
Smith was forced to dock his leased 53-foot double-decker in the town for his ‘Men in Black 3’ shooting. One of the Smith’s fans, the mayor Michael Bloomberg has questioned why Smith needed the $9,000 per week digs, dubbed ‘The Heat’ in such a prime location.
The public safety committee chair, Peter Vallone Jr. said that hardworking New Yorkers have right to wake up in the morning and not find a cruise ship parked out in front of their house. He added that the New York is not Hollywood and they do not roll in that way.
However, Will Smith was initially photographed laughing about the controversy. Reportedly, he is about to have a walk to his work. A close source to Smith said that he was not really happy and it is an inconvenience as well as he is about a mile away from set.
