Tommy Lee Jones has been confirmed to star in the upcoming comedy flick ‘Great Hope Springs’, directed by David Frankel.
Tommy Lee Jones, the legendary Hollywood star is the latest actor to join the cast of the upcoming comedy movie ‘Great Hope Springs’. He would join Meryl Streep and Steve Carell. He has been signed to play the lead role in the movie.
The story of the movie revolves round a mid-age married couple of Jones and Streep, who realize that, their 30 years of marriage relationship is hitting the slope. The couple instead of hiring a divorce attorney decides to work on their relationship to get back to each other and finally they undergo counseling sessions with the help of the Dr. Field, a counseling therapist. Steve Carell plays the role of Dr. Field.
The ‘Men in Black’ star, Jones could be next seen in the upcoming movie ‘Captain America’ by Marvel and is currently busy with his ‘Men in Black 3’ of ‘Men in Black’ franchise, while Meryl Streep will be playing as former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in ‘The Iron Lady’.
The movie is directed by David Frankel, who earlier worked with Meryl Streep for ‘The Devils Wears Prada’. The script is provided by Vanessa Taylor, who was featured on the ‘Black List of the best unproduced screenplays’. Guymon Casady and Todd Black along with Nathan Kahane, the Mandate president will produce the movie. Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch, the Escape artists are the executive producers.
The filming of ‘Great Hope Springs’ is scheduled this August and will be released in 2012, distributed by Sony Pictures in North America.
