’Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz has been released this weekend directed by Rob Marshall.
’Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, the fourth installment of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise is enthralling the fans of ‘Pirates’ and Johnny Depp. Penelope Cruz, the beautiful star has been included in the cast opposite Johnny Depp.
For the first time in the franchise of ‘Pirates of Caribbean’, Depp has got a love interest and a worthful opponent in outplaying and outlasting. Rob Marshall, the director of the movie made a smart move in casting her.
The story of the movie revolves round Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), who will be forced to aboard the ship of Blackbeard, the father of Angelica (Penelope Cruz) in the quest of Fountain of Youth. As the plot goes on, Jack gets confused of her, if she is love or a con. He later comes to know that, she is also on the same mission of the fountain.
Rob Marshall, the new director for the Pirates movie, has done a pretty good job, despite being a director of music genre. Johnny Depp has been involved more in the script in this version, unlike in the previous sequels. Everyone knows about his prowess as an actor and did justice to his role, as he does always. He is one actor, who keeps the audience coming back to his films.
Penelope Cruz, the beautiful star was great in the movie, as she was cast opposite Depp, as Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley have not cast in the movie. The rest of the cast Geoffrey Rush, Amanda Seyfried did a pretty job.
The 3D effects in the movie were not upto the mark, watching the indoor scenes with the glasses are not effective, as they have been gloomy. The story by Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio was criticized for unconventional plot.
Eventually, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ is the best of the franchise and worth watching.
