‘The Hangover Part 2″ tops US Weekend Box Office

’The Hangover Part 2’, the sequel of ‘The Hangover’ starring Brad Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms, has topped the US weekend box office.

The sequel to the hit comedy ‘The Hangover’, titled ‘The Hangover Part 2’ has topped the US weekend box office, which seems that, the slump of box office is over as the recent summer movies have been huge hits and set a record of memorial weekend box office ever.

’The Hangover Part 2’ has earned $86.4 million in its three-day release in 3,615 theaters. The movie has earned a total of $118 million in it four day screening, as it was released on Thursday. The movie has almost the same cast of the original ‘The Hangover’.

Another sequel ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’, a Paramount animation debut the box office in second place grossing $48 million. It was released in 3,925 theaters. It was also released on Thursday. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ which topped the US box office last week, slipped to third place earning $39.3 million.

The comedy flick ‘Bridesmaids’, which was in the second place lat week, dropped to fourth place with $16.3 million and it is followed by Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman starrer ‘Thor’ with $9.3 million.
