Hugo Weaving has revealed that, he would be playing six characters in the adaptation ‘Clod Atlas’ of David Mitchell with the cast in multiple roles.
Hugo Weaving has been announced as the part of the ‘Cloud Atlas’ at Cannes Film Festival 2011. The movie is adapted from the novel by David Mitchell. The movie will be directed by three people, the Wachowski siblings and Tom Tykwer.
As per the reports, the cast of the movie will play the multiple roles in ‘Cloud Atlas’, at least more than one character. Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent and Ben Whishaw are the star cast of the movie. However, Hugo has confirmed that, he would be playing six characters in the movie.
He would play as a reluctant voyager crossing the Pacific in 1850, a high-minded journalist in Governor Reagan’s California, Zachry, a young Pacific Islander witnessing the nightfall of science and civilization, disinherited composer blagging a precarious livelihood in between-the-wars Belgium, a vanity publisher fleeing his gangland creditors and a genetically modified “dinery server” on death-row.
David Mitchell, the writer of the novel has cleared the barrages of language, time to offer meditation on the dangerous humanity will for power, genre and the consequences. The story of the movie explains the echoes of the characters and the change of their destinies.
Warner Bros will distribute the movie ‘Cloud Atlas’, while it is expected to start its filming in September and is set to hit the theaters in 2013.
