The character of Nixon played by Matthew Modine in the upcoming Christopher Nolan’s Batman movie, ‘Dark Knight Rises has been revealed.
The character of Matthew Modine, being cast to play as Nixon in the upcoming movie ‘Dark Knight Rises’ has been reportedly revealed. It is believed that, he would be playing the role of a key villain in the movie.
As per the reports, he would be playing the role of a villainous politician, who is a corrupt. The reports add that, though he plays the role with negative shades, it does not sound as the key role. However, the role of Nixon in the movie could be the middle man of one of the main villains and is described as the key villain.
It explains that, he would have a tough competition on screen, as he will facing ‘Catwoman’ Anne Hathaway, ‘Bane’ Tom Hardy and the police force of Gotham in the most awaited upcoming sequel.
Matthew Modine is well known for his work in ‘Full Metal Jacket’, a Vietnam War movie in 1987 by Stanley Kubrick. He is now set to start the filming of his scenes in London. He would next be seen in ‘Too Big to Fail’, HBO movie and ‘See If I Care’ opposite Eva Mendes.
The upcoming movie sequel is the final version of the ‘Batman’ trilogy of Christopher Nolan. Christian Bale would play the lead role in the movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard will also appear in the movie, while Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine would be the actors returning to the sequel.
’The Dark Knight Rises’ is set to hit the theaters in US and UK on July 20, 2012.
