’The Hobbit’ movie has got the release dates and titles for its two versions, directed by Peter Jackson, adapted from ‘The Hobbit’ novel by J.R.R. Tolkien.
New Line Cinema and Warner Bros have announced the release dates and titles of the most awaited adaptation ‘The Hobbit’. The movie will be made in to two parts, which the first part has been titled ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ and the second part is titled with ‘The Hobbit: There and Back Again’.
As per the sources, both the versions have been set in the backdrop of middle-earth of 60 years. Tolkien has set his previous project ‘The Lord of the Rings’. Peter Jackson would direct both the movies. The sources add that, both the films will be filmed at the same time in 3D. The movies will be filmed in the locations of New Zealand and Stone Street Studios in Wellington.
The story of ‘The Hobbit’ is about the journey of Bilbo Baggins, who in search of the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor and reclaim from the dragon Smaug. Martin Freeman will play the character of Bilbo Baggins. Ian McKellen will play the role of Gandalf the Grey, while Orlando Bloom will play the character of Legolas.
reportedly, most of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ star cast will be returning to the project of ‘The Hobbit’, as Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Ian Holm, Hugo Weaving and Christopher Lee would be joining the cast of the movie.
Fran Walsh, Guillermo Del Toro, Philippa Boyens and Peter Jackson will provide the screenplay, while Peter and Walsh will be produce the movie along with Carolynne Cunningham.
The first part ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is set for release on December 14, 2012 and ‘The Hobbit: There and Back Again’ will hit the theaters on December 13, 2013.
