Cat Deeley has bee confirmed to host the first ever Critics Choice Television Awards, which will be held on June 20, 2011 at Beverly Hills Hotel.
’So You Think You Can Dance’ host Cat Deeley has been confirmed to host the first and inaugural award ceremony of Critics Choice Television Awards. The news was announced by the newly formed Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), which will be an offshoot of Broadcast Film Critics Association.
Joey Berlin, the acting President of BTJA said that, Cat would put all the awards on the map and can ensure an entertaining and lively show. The first award ceremony would commence at Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011.
The nominations of first Critics Choice Television Awards will be announced on June 6, 2011, where best comedy, drama series, reality series, top talkshow and most exciting new series will be competing for the awards.
The award show will be telecast live on VH1.com and will re-telecast in an edited format by ReelzChannel from June 22, 2011, which would be broadcasted many times. The celebrity interviews, behind the scene footage and an opportunity to interact with the celebrities backstage through a stream of ‘Fan-Cam’ will be presented by the cable network.
Bob Bain will be the executive producer of the show for Bob Bain Productions. Dan Black of Greenberg Traurig represents BFCA and BTJA is in talks with VH1.com and ReelzChannel.
