Jennifer Hudson has been confirmed to join and star as nun in the upcoming movie ‘The Three Stooges’ directed by Farrelly brothers.
20th Century Fox has confirmed Jennifer Hudson to join the cast and star in the upcoming comedy flick ‘The Three Stooges’. Hudson will play the role of a nun, Sister Rosemary, one of the three nuns.
Jennifer Hudson, the singer-actress, will now join Jane Lynch and Larry David, who will be playing the roles of Mother Superior and Mother Mengele respectively. The story of the movie has been inspired by the original ‘Three Stooges’, where the newborn trio will be left outside an orphanage and will follow them to their adulthood.
Hudson has won Oscar, for her work in ‘Dreamgirls’ and also appeared in ‘The Secret Life of Bees’. She will next be seen in ’Winnie’, a biopic of Winnie Mandela. She was also a finalist of ‘American Idol’ season 3.
Chris Diamantopoulos, Will Sasso and Sean Hayes will portray the roles of three stooges as Moe, Curly and Larry. The movie will be directed by Farrelly Brothers, as they shared the pen with Mike Cerrone. 20th Century Fox will produce along with Farrelly Brothers, Bradley Thomas and Charles B. Wessler.
The production of the movie has been started in Atlanta and is expected to hit the theaters next year.
