’X-Men: First Class’ is enthralling the audience and as a result, it has topped the US weekend box office.
The fifth installment ‘X-Men: First Class’, released on Friday, June 3, 2011 has topped the US weekend box office giving a tough time to its competitors. It is the fifth installment pf ‘X-Men’ franchise, which has topped the weekend box office, earning $56 million.
’X-Men: First Class’ has been released in 3,641 theaters and its budget is $160 million. However, it was not up to the expectations, as it’s predecessor ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ has grossed $105.8 million at weekend box office in the year 2006.
’The Hangover Part 2’ stood in second place, as it earned $32.4 million in its three-day screening. Last weekend it topped the box office. ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’ has also dropped to third place with $24.3 million.
’Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ managed fourth place with $18 million, while ‘Bridesmaids’ managed fifth earning $12.1 million.
