The supernatural thriller ‘Super 8’ movie, directed by J.J Abrams, has captured the audience very well and is giving a thrilling ride.
’Super 8’ movie, produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by J.J. Abrams is doing a better job than the expected. It stood up to its expectations, as it is created by Steven Spielberg. It is an adventurous movie of kids.
The successfully running movie ‘Super 8’ is a mix of all genres from action to horror. Though it has scary moments, it might not scare the targeted audience. The movie has 56% of audience, who are above 25 years. However, the movie has the potential to get hold of the kids, as it is a sort of adventurous movie of kids.
The story of the movie is about Joe Lamb, played by Joel Courtney, a teenage wizard of special effects, who teams up with his best pal, Charles (Riley Griffiths), who along with a bunch of friends from middle school, work on making a monster movie, using a Super 8 handy video camera. They select Alice (Elle Fanning), the cutest troubled star from Lillian Middle School, as their movie needs a love interest.
During the filming of their movie at a train station, they witness a catastrophe, where a train derails and crash into a locomotive. At this point of time, unexpected things happen, where a local sheriff comes to unveil the mystery.
The direction of J.J. Abrams is great, as he took care from the camera work, script, special effects to the direction part. He just shows the impression of Steven Spielberg. The story gets a bit slow in the middle, but it is substantially fare enough after encountering the thrilling climax.
The special effects of the movie are awesome, especially at the point, when train derails and some unexpected things happen. It reminds the impression of the movie by Spielberg. It is a complete adventure movie for kids.
Elle is great with her performance, despite being young. All the kids in the movie seem bit raw with acting skills, despite their remarkable efforts, but need to understand that, they are heading to adulthood and would learn more skills as they grow.
Finally, the movie has the potential to hold the audience to their seats to have a fun adventurous ride along with their kids and is worth watching.
