‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood Suicide – Hospitalized

‘Teen Mom’ star, Amber Portwood has committed suicide on Tuesday morning. The 21-year-old reality star has been admitted to St. John’s hospital in Indiana.

The statement given by the police stated that on Tuesday morning at 11:34 a.m. Anderson Police responded to a call at a residence in the 1300 block of Pleasant Meadow Drive. The statement continued that Portwood was depressed and threatened to end up her life. She was then transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation.

Amber Portwood was rushed to the nearby hospital after being found unconscious in her home on the couch from an apparent overdose with a rope around her neck. It was also said that her boyfriend and baby daddy, Gary Shirley has asked his mother to check on her since he was concerned about her state of mind after they talked on the phone.

Shawn Portwood, brother of Amber said that Amber has said that she had a panic attack last night after Gary began calling her names and telling her he was going to take Leah away from her. He added that Gary verbally abusive to her and their whole family thinks that he is the reason behind all of Amber’s troubles.

Last December, she was charged with two felony counts of domestic battery including one felony count of neglect of dependent and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery after striking Gary in front of their two-year-old daughter, Leah. Few days before her hospitalization, Amber was given two years probation after pleading guilty to two felony domestic battery charges.
