Scarlett Johansson has been confirmed to join and star in the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Can a Song Save Your Life’ produced by Judd Apatow.

The Hollywood star, Scarlett Johansson has been reportedly signed to join the upcoming romantic comedy flick ‘Can a Song Save Your Life’. The movie is based on the theme of music. Mark Ruffalo and Jim Carrey are rumored to play the male lead role in the movie.

The story of the movie is about a washed-up A&R man, who gets close and forms a passionate bond with a young songwriter-singer, played by Scarlett Johansson. The movie is produced by Judd Apatow while John Carney will direct and provide the script of the movie.

John said that, he has been working and writing the line since a year and half and also went to Los Angeles to meet Scarlett, a couple of months back. He also added that, she was everything, once could imagine her very hot, elegant and smart.

Scarlett has released an album ‘Anywhere I Lay my Head’ in the year 2008, in which she also covered the songs of Tom Waits, collaborated with Pete Yorn on his album ‘Break Up’. She also lent her voice for the soundtracks, such as ‘Days of Grace’ and ‘Wretches and jabberers’.

John Carney is known for his work in ‘The Rafters’, ‘Once’ and ‘Zonad’. The movie ‘Can a Song Save Your Life’ will be produced with the budget of $10 million, which is less, as per the Hollywood standards, but it is high than ‘Once’.

The movie is planned to start its filming New York City next year.
