The newly released installment from the Transformers franchise, ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ has made its opening ticket sales to $13.5 million at the box offices in its late night as well as the midnight screenings in the United Sates and Canada. The 3-D film based sci-fi movie with robots from the 1980’s has seen the figures being low as compared to the previous film, ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ as it was opened to $16.6 million in the midnight screenings.
Paul Dergarabedian, the president of the Hollywood.com Box Office said that by the 4th weekend of July, the movie is expected to earn between $150 million to $180 million over its first six days in the United States and Canada. The movie was opened in nearly 3000 United States and Canada locations in the screenings on Tuesday and at midnight. Through Monday, the cinemas will be raising to 4000 in number.

Despite of all the negative reviews given, the movie is still making its way, as the movie is good to watch in 3D technology. Paul Dergarabedian said that the movie is expected to earn about $500 million in its first six days worldwide. ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ is starred with Shia LaBeouf, his new love, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley playing the titular roles.
