Brad Pitt is in talks to star in the upcoming military rescue operation ‘The Mission’ directed by David O. Russell.
The ‘Troy’ star, Brad Pitt is in talks with Warner Bros to star in the upcoming movie based on the rescue operation with the title ‘The Mission’. The script of the movie is provided by Peter Landesman.
The story of the movie is about a six-year rescue mission with the name ‘Operacion Jaque’, which was planned by an American and Colombian covert operatives, in order to free 15 hostages from the jungle of Colombia.
The hostages also include three Americans and a Presidential candidate of Colombia. The hostages are held by the guerrilla group of FARC of Colombia in between six to 15 years, who moves the hostages around the jungle and chain the hostages cruelly to the trees by their necks.
The mission is also involved by high-tech surveillance, soldiers, military advisors and a vast network of spies.
As per the reports, Brad Pitt has not been confirmed for the role, but it is believed that, he is in talks to join the project. David O. Russell of ‘The Fighter’ will direct the movie, while Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Scott Z. Burns will produce the movie, along with McLarty media.
