Chris Hemsworth has been attached to join and star in the upcoming action thriller ‘Shadow Runner’ based on a real incident.
The ‘Thor’ star, Chris Hemsworth has been reportedly set to star in the upcoming action thriller ‘Shadow Runner’. The rights have been acquired by Sony Pictures. The movie is developed based on the original idea of Hossein Amini.
The story of the movie is inspired by a real-life incident, in which, a 17 member team of Israeli assassins tracked and killed a Hamas leader, Mahmoud al Mabhouh, last year. During the course of killing Mabhough, the 17 member team, managed to get into a five-star hotel in Dubai and took him out in the corridor of the hotel.
The Israeli assassin team was captured in a CCTV of the hotel security, chasing the victim and getting on the elevator, after he was killed. However, the movie ‘Shadow Runner’ will not replicate those particular events, but Chris will lead an elite team of operatives, who take on the impossible tasks.
Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn will produce the movie along with Will Ward of Roar. Chris Hemsworth is known for his work in ‘Thor’, which turned him into a star and he will reprise his role in ‘The Avengers’. He will also be seen in the lead role in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ opposite Kristen Stewart.
