J.B. Smoove has been set to star in the upcoming Sasha Baron Cohen’s comedy movie ‘Dictator’ directed by Larry Charles.
’Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star, J.B. Smoove has been confirmed to join the cast and star in a character in the upcoming comedy flick ‘Dictator’ of Sasha Baron Cohen. Smoove will play the character ‘Usher’ in the project of Paramount Pictures.
The story of the movie tells about the heroism of a dictator, who risks his life to ensure that, the democracy would never come to the country. He visits US to attend a United Nation meeting and finds that, another guy resembling has taken his place.
As the time passes, he wanders around and meets a store owner, who later falls in love with her and changes his dictatorial perspective. Sasha will play the dual roles in the movie. As per the reports, Megan Fox and John C. Riley will play cameo in the movie.
Larry Charles of ‘Curb’ and ‘Borat’ will direct the movie, based on the novel ‘Zabibah and the King’ written by Saddam Hussein. Smoove has recently hosted ‘Russell Simons Presents: Stand-Up at The El Rey’ and is also believed that, he is planning to launch an comedy website ‘TheRuckus.com’.
Smoove will next be seen in ‘We Bought a Zoo’ and ‘The Sitter’ with Jonah Hill and Sam Rockwell. ‘The Dictator’ is set to release in theaters on May 11, 2012.
