‘Horrible Bosses’ has tried to dig out the comedy flick from the America’s employment troubles. In this movie, Nick, Dale, Kurt played by Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis are the lifelong buddies with two things in common, one thing is that after their work they would like to get together and chew the fat and the other is that they hate their bosses.
Nick works in finance and deals with arrogant Type A company president, Dave Harken, played by Kevin Spacey. He dangles a promotion to get extra hours of workout of him. Dale is a dental assistant whose dentist, Julia Harris harasses him over anesthetizes patients. After the death of Kurt’s chemical company owner, Jack Pellit, he watches his son Bobby Pellit demand firings and squeeze profits from the company to buy his cocaine and toys.
One fine night, the three guys decide life would be better if all three bosses were out of picture and plans to commit three murders, but they need to have the smarts, guts to plot on. After several drinks and cautionary encounter with unemployed classmate, they come to this decision. However, the director, Seth Gordon makes it work by shifting the load to his very funny cast.
Spacey delivers as the alpha-male boss. Aniston is a hilariously racy as the over desired dentist and Farrell is a bald cap and a bad comb over to heighten Bobby’s bad behavior. Bateman plays to his arrested development strengths as the beaten down good guy and Sudeikis gets some better mileage out of playing the on-the-prowl horn dog.
