The ‘Horrible Bosses’ an ensemble comedy movie directed by Seth Gordon was released at weekend has a fair amount of laughs.
The newly released comedy flick ‘Horrible Bosses’ has an extensive talented cast with Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Collin Farrell, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx. Donald Sutherland plays a cameo in the movie.
The story of the movie is about three friends, Nick, Dale and Kurt, played by Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis respectively, who gets tormented by their respective bosses. They reunite, as they love hanging out together, occasionally drinking too much and complaining about their horrible bosses.
Nick and Dale hate their bosses, but Kurt loves his boss, the role played by Donald Sutherland, until his cokehead son takes the charge, after the death of Donald. The role of Kurt’s new boss is played by Collin Farrell, a drug addict and heading to Mexico with a group of whores. The three guys face a situation, where they need to kill their bosses or get tortured by their bosses. Fortunately, they meet a man, Jamie Foxx as Jones, who seems to have the brain power to help the three friends.
The characters of three horrible bosses were played by Kevin Spacey as Dave Harken, Jennifer Aniston as Dr. Julia Harris, a sensual harassing boss and Collin Farrell as Bobby Pellitt, a drug addict.
The cast of the movie is spectacular and performance by all the lead roles is good, especially Charlie Day and Kevin Spacey, steals the show among all the characters. There are a lot of funny scenes in the script provided by Michael Markowitz, Jonathan M. Goldstein and John Francis Daley. However, it should have been better than it is.
Seth Gordon, the director of the movie, who is good at handling ensemble cast and comedy movies did a good job, balancing the time between the various characters of the story. He wisely got out of the way of the characters to do their own jobs.
The movie has got some laughs, but it has also got some areas, where it could have got more laughs. Moreover, it has used the vulgar language to raise the laughs, especially the name of the character of Foxx, but not till the end of it.
Finally, the movie still has got the things to make you laugh, which is not at all bad. The movie is worth watching.
