The twelve early contestants of the ‘America’s Got Talent’ have shown their capabilities in the opening round of the quarterfinals. Out of these, four took the spots in the semi-finals. On the 12th July episode of the America’s Got Talent, the first part of the quarter-finals found twelve acts competing for the home audience’s valuable votes and also a place in the next round.

The first to take the stage are the ‘Miami All Stars’. The taped section has revealed that they had to transform their routine at the last minute when they could not get the clearance to use the music which they had picked originally. The tightly coordinated precision has won over all three judges and Mandel noted that the routine of them was fabulous despite the music issues.

Just before performing on the stage, ‘Dezmond Meeks’ has expressed he is feeling like an outcast during his Louisiana childhood and how much the performance meant to him. He performed his home city’s musical heritage was apparent in his rollicking piano-driven version of the Rolling Stones’ ‘Satisfaction’. Osbourne has said that he needed to be careful of being too cabaret and cheesy and Mandel felt that he crossed that line. But Morgan disagreed with his fellow judges and called Meeks as the great cabaret entertainer.

Next came the ‘Those Funny Little People’, dancing to the ‘Singin’ in the rain’ and ‘It’s raining men’ did nothing to change his mind and has hit the ‘X’ button within no time. ‘The Fearless Flores Family’, the motorcycle stunt riders has used the same round cage as they did in their audition.  Morgan said that performance was incredible but Osbourne doubted that where they would go from that to another. But, the family has assured her that they had lot of ideas that are need to be done. Mandel has called them just amazing but worried little about their safety.

The founders of ‘Squonk Opera’ have explained about their desire to combine music and art to le lead in their performance. They have projected images on fan-shaped screen and have incorporated rock instrumentation with operatic vocals. Morgan and Osbourne hit their buttons but Cannon said that he loved it. Next to take the stage was the comedian J. Chris Newberg who was called a complete and utter idiot by Morgan and in turn Newberg has called him jerk face.

‘Snap Boogie’ has dealt with an injury as well as the unfamiliar situation of working with choreography and backing dancers. But Snap still turned out to give an impressive performance. Morgan said that his routine could be in Vegas tomorrow. The next is the ‘Echo of Animal Gardens’ with his girlfriend Binky and the parrot Echo. The parrot spoke in different languages and also sang ‘Jingle Bells’ as well as ‘Over the Rainbow’. The judges liked it and Morgan has said that Echo was funnier than any of the human comedians.

The Bluegrass band, ‘The Fiddleheads’ has performed the Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’. On their performance, Mandel said that the choice of the song was mistake and Morgan liked the interpretation as well as the group’s look. The Acrobats ‘Duo Aero’ has however failed to impress Morgan who said that he got little bored. Anna Graceman is the 11-year-old singer who sang ‘What a Wonderful World’ has received a standing ovation. Mandel has called her ‘a phenomenon’ and Morgan has complimented both her song and her boots.

Last but not the least; ‘Sandou Trio Russian Bar’ could be topped as of their performance. They have upped the ante further by setting fire to it and they have pulled off the routine without a snag. Morgan said that he could barely look at them because of the danger. Osbourne said that she has never watching that kind of thing before and Mandel has asked that if it was worth the risk to become a captioning act but highly praised them for their performance.
