Peter Jackson, The film director of ‘The Hobbit’ has said that there will be no premiere of his Hobbit film at the Comic-Con 2011. On Wednesday, Peter Jackson has threw some cold water on the hopes of the movie fans heading to Comic-Con International in San Diego this week when he said that there will be no surprise presentation of his films at the pop culture gathering.

Jackson has posted in his Facebook Page that it was too early to show any film clips of the widely anticipated movies based on J.R.R Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit’ at Comic-Con, as had been speculated. Jackson has written that bad news is that they won’t be doing any Hobbit presentation. He added that Movie Studios, New Line and Warner Bros were very happy to support a presentation but he declined as simply due the reason that he felt it was too early. He told that there was so much more of the films still to shoot.

Besides, Peter Jackson has also directed the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and in the process has won an Academy Award for ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’. Also, he has built a huge fan base that would do just about anything for an early glimpse of ‘The Hobbit’ movies that are being currently filmed.

However, there will be two movies based on the Tolkien novel, where the first movie is set for the release in 2012. Jackson wrote in his posting that atleast no one does travel to San Diego to see it.

Comic-Con International begins officially on Thursday in San Diego. This is the huge convention attended by lovers of comic-books, TV shows as well as sci-fi movie and is widely used by the Hollywood studios to promote future films.
