The pop singer Lady Gaga and the luxury department store Barneys is getting together for a Christmas holiday campaign and window display called as ‘Gaga’s Workshop’. Barneys has told that it would turn over an entire floor of its flagship Madison Ave, New York, the store to the Mother Monster’s interpretation of Santa’s Workshop. In addition to this, they are dedication its 2011 holiday window display to Gaga’s theme.
The small limited edition gift items that are created by the ‘Born This Way’ singer and Nicola Formichetti will also be available for the sale. However the signature artwork will be featured on Barneys’ holiday shopping bags and packaging. Mark Lee, the Barneys’ New York chief executive said that it would be the largest and the most encompassing holiday theme ever mounted by the upscale fashion retailer.
Mark Lee said that as a New York City landmark, they wanted to celebrate Lady Gaga as a fellow New Yorker and amazing talent. As we all know that Lady Gaga is well known for the bizarre outfits as her string of hit records and music awards, she was born in Stefani Germanotta and raised in New York City.
Barneys has said that it would donate 25% of all the items featured in Gaga’s workshop to a charity of the singer’s choice.
