In its second week, moving away the block busters of the box office, ‘The Help’ rules the North American Box Office. However, the drama based on Kathryn Stockett’s best selling novel has summed an estimated $20.5 million to its gross domestically that led to the total of $71.8 million sales after being played in theatres for 12 days.

A week ago, the US weekend box-office topper spot was occupied by ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’, which has now slipped into second position after dominating the chart for two consecutive weeks. However, the sci-fi film has grossed a total of $133.8 million by adding about $16.3 million in this weekend.

In the mean time, the fourth instalment of the Spy Kids movie, ‘Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World’ which was released has managed the third place by grossing $12 million. It was predicted that the movie would likely earn about $15 million.

Besides this, the newly released movie, ‘Canon the Barbarian’ has failed to reach the expectations. Jason Momoa starring adventure film has managed to rake in about $10 million. The vice president of film distribution, David Spitz has said that they are disappointed with the results but they think that the box-office was in general down this weekend.
