‘The Help’ Tops Box Office on Labor Day Weekend gaining $4 Million

’The Help’ has managed to still top the US weekend box office on Labor Day, as it has added $4 million to its gross over the fourth day.The successfully running drama flick, with Emma Stone in the lead role has bettered its top place at the North American box office, over the Labor Day weekend. It has added an estimated gross of $4.4 million, to its earlier gross, over the weekend. Now, it still occupies the top place with an estimated gross of $19 million, after adding the aforementioned gross. It was reported that, $4.4 million was added on the fourth day.

However, it also bettered the gross of all the other movies at the North American box office. The new entries ‘The Debt’, ‘Apollo 18’ and ‘Shark Night 3D’ also maintained their places, as it was reported on the previous day. ‘The Debt’, has now grossed $12.2 million over the Labor Day weekend, while ‘Apollo 18’ and ‘Shark Night 3D’ grossed $10.7 million and $10.3 million respectively, on the fourth day of the Labor Day weekend.

‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ is in fifth place with $10.2 million. However, there was change in between the movies ‘Spy Kids4: All the Time in the World’ and ‘Don’t be Afraid of the Dark’. ‘Spy Kids 4’, which was on ninth place the day earlier, has leaped to eighth place and ‘‘Don’t be Afraid of the Dark’ has slipped to ninth place, after they grossed $6.6 million and $6.1 million respectively.

10. The Smurfs – $5.6 million
