Jean Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris have been confirmed to star in the forthcoming Sylvester Stallone’s action thriller sequel ‘The Expendables 2’.
The ‘Kick Boxer’ star Van Damme and ‘Way of the Dragon’ Chuck Norris, will now join the already announced casting stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis in the upcoming highly anticipated sequel ‘The Expendables 2’. Stallone, the star of ‘Rocky’ said that, he will have a big showdown with Van Damme, which was being anticipated for long time, which should be a good one. He also confirmed about casting Nicolas Cage in some extent, but he wants John Travolta to join the big ensemble cast of the movie.
The ‘Rambo’ star, Sylvester Stallone also suggested that, Chuck Norris and Nicolas Cage have been signed and they are working on different situations. He also added that, he likes using the people, who had a moment and might have fallen on hard times and give them another chance. He also hinted that, they are looking to cast the stars like Michael Biehn and Michael Pare, as he likes the kind of those stars and also shared about casting new blood for the project.
On ‘Broken Arrow’ star John Travolta, Stallone said that, it is possible to lock him for the project and also denied the speculations started on Tuesday, about casting Travolta. He cleared that, it is not the financial reason for casting John, but it is the matter of scheduling, as the locations in Bulgaria is definitely a short journey and the dead winter. Simon West has been locked to direct the movie, while Stallone will provide the script. The cast would fly to Bulgaria during the end of September, to start its principle shooting and is expected to be released for a summer 2012.
