Brad Pitt has worked his way down the red carpet at the Paramount Theatre while on the other hand, hundreds of fans had gathered for the ‘Moneyball’ premiere has shouted ‘Let’s Go, Oakland’. Brad Pitt said that it is very cool and it is a special screening for them. He added that the people of Oakland have given such a great response and they stayed up with them for hours on end to tape the baseball scenes and has never lost energy.
Pitt’s fans have lined up for hours Monday as they waited for the stars of the movie that opens Friday. The movie is based on the best-selling book by Michael Lewis as the story tells how a general manager Billy Beane bucked baseball’s conventions on his way to turning the small-payroll A’s into a powerhouse in the early 2000s. He was on his way down the red carpet himself when he heard the fans roar at an arriving limousine.
Alongside Brad, the other cast members that includes Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jonah Hill also attended the Paramount premiere. Scott Hatteberg who hit a home run in 2002 to cap the A’s record-breaking 20 game-winning streak was on hand for the news conference and has saluted the film’s dedication to accuracy. Pratt studied Scott’s home run obsessively and recreated his precise celebration during the home run trot. Scott and Pratt even look so much alike that the former first baseman was mistaken for the actor a few times at Monday’s event. Scott joked that if we are in an action movie, maybe he can get some stunt work and he used to pop wheelies on his Huffy when he was younger.
