The legal battle has come to an end, after Charlie Sheen has settled the lawsuit ‘Two and a Half Men’ co-creator Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros.
The ‘Two and a Half Men’ star Charlie Sheen and the co-creator Chuck Lorre has settled the lawsuit, filed by Charlie for $100 million, over his firing from the super hit sitcom. They have officially settled the lawsuit on Monday, September 26, 2011. The statement read that, Warner Bros. Television, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen have resolved their dispute with mutual satisfaction. It also added that, the pending lawsuit and arbitration will also be dismissed.
As per the reports, the parties involved in the lawsuit have complied to maintain confidentiality, over the terms of the lawsuit settlement. The reports added that, Charlie would be getting $25 million as his initial payment, which also reportedly includes his backend participation, he has owned. Also, it has been suggested that, he might be receiving the payments in the form of syndication profits, though the amount might not be as big as $100 million, which he has filed the lawsuit, over his firing.
The lawsuit settlement between 42-year-old Charlie Sheen, Warner Bros. and Chuck Lorre, followed just after a week, the new season of ‘Two and a Half Men’ with Ashton Kutcher in the lead role has started. It also earned the ratings on record level. On the other hand, the new sitcom ‘Anger Management’, of Charlie has recently locked Bruce Helford of ‘The Drew Carey Show’, as the writer, show runner and the executive producer of the show.
