"Russell Crowe's Jor-El First Look" The first look of the forthcoming superman reboot movie ‘Man of Steel’ has been unveiled, featuring Russell Crowe as Jor-El.

The ‘Gladiator’ star Russell Crowe has been spotted filming, a scene on the set of Vancouver of the upcoming movie ‘Superman: Man of Steel’ on Sunday, October 2, 2011. He was photographed, while he was sporting the complete outfit of Jor-El, the character of Superman’s Kryptonian father. His outfit also features the symbol ‘S’ on its front, along with a long red crape. He was also seen lighting a cigarette.

As per the reports, the New Zealand born ‘American Gangster’ star has been signed, to play the role Jor-El in the upcoming superhero movie, directed by Zack Snyder. It was also said that, the actor was working hard to get in shape, as he will be starring opposite a well-built Henry Cavill, who dons the role of Superman in the movie ‘Man of Steel’. Russell will play opposite Ayelet Zurer, the ‘Angels & Demons’ star, who has replaced Julia Ormond, who will play the role of Lara Lor-Van, the Kryptonian mother of Superman and wife of Jor-El.

The upcoming superhero flick ‘Man of Steel’ is the latest remake, produced by Christopher Nolan, the director of Christian Bale starrer ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. Henry Cavill will play the titular character, while Amy Adams plays the female lead role Lois Lane. The other stars of the ensemble cast of the movie feature Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Antje Traue and Michael Shannon. Costner and Diane will play the adoptive parents of Superman, while Shannon plays the main villain of the movie General Zod. ‘Man of Steel’ has been scheduled to hit the theaters on June 14, 2013 in the United States.
