’Real Steel’ the robot-boxing drama movie, with Hugh Jackman in the lead role has topped the North American weekend box office.
The recent released movie over the weekend ‘Real Steel’ has successfully managed to top the US weekend box office and punched all its opponents, to win the race at box office. The robot-boxing action drama flick has grossed $27.3 million, in its three-day screening. The movie has been rated with “A” CinemaScore, which was produced with a budget of $110 million. Shawn Levy has directed the movie.
The great thing about ‘Real Steel’ is that, it has drawn 36% of its audience under the age of 18 and 51% being the age group of 25 with 59% of the moviegoers being the males. It was followed by yet another new release ‘The Ides of March’ in the second place, with George Clooney and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles of the political drama. It has grossed $10.4 million, while Ryan enticed the adult viewers with 86% of the audience with the age of 25.
The last week topper ‘Dolphin Tales’ has dropped to third place this week with $9.1 million and added it to its total gross of $49.1 million. The ‘Troy’ star Brad Pitt starrer ‘Moneyball’, a baseball drama movie managed to remain in fourth place this week as well with $7.4 million, while Joseph Gordon Levitt and Seth Rogen starrer comedy drama movie ‘50/50’ is in fifth place grossing $5.5 million.
