Jackie Evancho, the runner-up of ‘America’s Got Talent’ season 5 has been set to make her movie debut in the forthcoming flick ‘The Company You Keep’.
The 11-year-old Pennsylvanian born singer Jackie Evancho has been tapped to play the character of Robert Redford’s daughter in the upcoming political thriller movie ‘The Company You Keep’, which is also directed by Redford. In the movie Jackie, loses her mother and does not know about the militant past of her father. She will now join Shia LaBeouf and Redford in the movie.
The movie ‘The Company You Keep’ has been adapted from a novel written by Neil Gordon and the story of the flick follows Jim Grant, played by Redford, a former Weather Underground militant, who is being hunted by FBI for more than three decades. However, he is made to run, after a young and ambitious reporter looking to make fame, played by Shia exposes his identity. As per the reports, Anna Kendrick, Sam Elliott, Terrence Howard and Brendan Gleeson have been attached to the movie.
Anna plays the role of a young FBI agent, who passes the information to Shia, about a Bank of Michigan robbery in 1960s. Terrence dons the role of a senior FBI agent Cornelius, who targets to take down Jim along with his allies, while Gleeson plays the character of a retired Michigan Chief of Police Henry Osborne, the investigator of bank robbery and Sam Elliott plays the role of a marijuana trade employer Mac in the movie.
Besides playing the lead role, Redford also serves multiple duties as producer and director of the project. Apart from aforementioned stars, Brit Marling, Susan Sarandon, Richard Jenkins, Nick Nolte, Chris Cooper, Stephen Root and Stanley Tucci are among the star cast of the movie. ‘The Company You Keep’ is expected to hit the theaters in the United States in the year 2013.
