Javier Bardem has been confirmed to play the role of main villain, in the forthcoming untitled bond movie ‘James Bond 23’.
The ‘Biutiful’ actor Javier Bardem has confirmed the long time whirling allegations about him, playing the role of a main villain in the upcoming 23rd installment of bond movies, which has been alleged to get ‘Skyfall’ as the title of the movie. He confirmed the same, during an interview on ABC’s ‘Nightline’ with Christiane Amanpour. He said that, he would be playing the character of a bad man against bond character played by Daniel Craig.
The 42-year-old Spanish actor Bardem, who played the role of a killer in ‘No Country for Old Men’ commented that, the production team of ‘James Bond 23’ has picked him to play the villainous character and insisted that, he could not reveal more details about his role in the movie. But, he was very excited and feels fun to star in the movie and added that, he watched all the Bond movies, as he was taken by his parents to see the movies.
The Oscar winning actor has also said that, he met Sam Mendes, the director of the movie, in regard to the villain role this year. The movie was earlier reported to get the title ‘Carthe Blance’ and recently it was also rumored that, it could get the new title as ‘Skyfall’. He is reportedly in negotiations to lend his voice for Universal’s animated movie ‘Despicable Me 2’, where he voice the villain character of El Macho. The upcoming ‘James Bond 23’ is expected to reach out the theaters in the United States on November 9, 2012.
