The zombie themes ‘Walking Dead’ second season has premiered and has delivered a record ratings on Sunday. As per the record, 7.3 million viewers have watched the debut of Walking Dead season 2 which is 38% from last season’s premiere. Fascinatingly, the opener of the new season has nabbed about 4.8 million viewers among adults 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers aged 25-54. The represents a new record for a single drama telecast in basic cable history.
The AMC president, Charlie Collier told that the one of the rare television programs, ‘The Walking Dead’ has reached both a core genre fans plus broad audiences simply looking for a great, character based story. He added that the drama is now the most watched drama in history of basic cable is staggering just like their zombies.
However, the fans of ‘Walking Dead’ have expressed considerable concern at the start of this season that Frank Darabont, the original show runner had been replaced his vision was considered integral to adapting the TV show from the original comic book. This season has began with a small surviving band of humans leaving Atlanta and the Centre for Disease Control where they had hoped to find safe haven from a world full of zombies, proved useless last season as it was eventually blown up.
